Valley Girl: Dow isn't going to 36000 without MSFT and INTC taking it there. But for these and a handful of tech oriented stocks in the Dow it is a cyclical group.

As for ORCL I too have held it since '90 and have seen it lag the market ferociously only to have it periodically explode as it has done of late. Hang in there.

The problem here is that the reason (or lack thereof) for MSFT being down is due to forces outside of the business millieu or marketplace. When things get placed in the hands of an arbitrary and anti-business government there indeed is a higher form of uncertainty added to the mix. JFD
