Of course, the only meaning of the earnings is that the quarter came in exactly as management predicted at the time of the previous earnings. report. There is now much less uncertainty that the recovery is indeed underway. The market reaction will depend on the balance of fund managers choosing to stay with a steady, but unexciting fully valued stock, or bailing out to search for an upside surprise elsewhere.
