Sideware To Incorporate BrainTech's Artificial Intelligence Into Dr. Bean
Giving Dr. Bean A Powerful 'Automated Service' Component
Scheduled For Release -- January 2000
VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 18, 1999-- Sideware Systems, Inc., of North Vancouver, British Columbia (OTCBB:SDWSF - news; VSE:SYD.U - news), has entered into a development contract with BrainTech Inc., to develop a knowledge based software component that will provide an ''unattended'' question/answer feature for use on the internet.
This unique software is called the ''Wizmaster®'', and partly draws its name from a computerized sorting and selection tool known as a ''wizard''. Wizards can be used for product configuration, or help a customer select one product from several, based on a predetermined set of criteria. With the artificial intelligence component of the Wizmaster® system, it will be able to provide ''unattended'' question/answer capabilities. This allows for easy, extremely flexible in-house wizards, development and maintenance. Once a wizard has been modified, it can be utilized to interact over the internet with customers. This addresses one of the important needs that companies have, to provide self-service on the web site for their customers.
