Barbara & Jean: Ain't it the truth -- if it's not one thing, it's another. Lock-in profits early, or sell to "recover your loss," only to see the stock double after you pull out -- OR, buy on the "big dip" only to see it KEEP dropping toward the floor. If only we were just a lot smarter, or the MM's weren't so contrary, or if the stars were in proper alignment, we'd all do so much better at this game...

I too am trying to establish -- and follow -- some firmer trading "rules" for myself. Mainly to take-profits sooner than I'm naturally-inclined, to be less-hasty in selling losers (because they often come back to at least break-even within a few days), and to WAIT and THINK before buying or selling rather than acting on-impulse. It sure ain't easy, and sometimes those rules almost seem contradictory -- but so far, anyway, the new-approach does seem to have helped my account-balances. So I guess there really IS a role for "discipline" in all this... :-)

You know who...
