I've been tuning in to the coverage off and on today, but haven't heard anything about legal responsibility. I imagine the university's liability insurance will be tapped pretty substantially. Just a couple of months ago an A&M student fell asleep at the wheel and killed several students who had just parked and were walking to a party. No charges were filed against the driver, but I can't imagine the horror that he has to live with, not to mention his family's legal liabilities.
