Another anon. post from B.R.M.: "The patents that everybody worries about are Rosenstein Solid Phase assays March 22 1988 US 5,591,645 Eur pat applicatiom #0 284 232 March 1988 (BD) & Unipath European Patent 291194 Basically BD has particulate flow down a membrane and Unipath has the plastic housing which most of these strips go into. Both companies agreed to recognise the patents of each other and chase after the rest of the world. You would have to be very brave to go up against them even if you felt you had good technical & legal opinion."
