I havent heard about the accident, just got in from night firing at the range. You are also quite correct about most willing to share their winners and not their losers. I have made some real bonehead plays this year that although they turn my stomach when I think about how I played them, fortunately havent cost me a tremendous amount of money. I am doing very well this year overall. Still, at the risk of sounding like the village idiot, let me tell you about my two biggest bonehead moves( both recently), I bought 1k neon when it tanked at 17 and change, held it down to 13 bought another 1k which I sold a day later for 5/8 a point, and then when neon appeared stalled and perhaps for a longtime, sold it in the mid 13s for a $3500 dollar loss(net loss 3k). Of course I neednt tell you where neon is now only a few weeks later. Also just a few weeks ago I had played asdv and made a nice profit after it had tanked earlier, so I reentered for 2k shares at 15. Stock appeared stalled for a few days so I sold at 15 1/2 and felt smug as I moved on to better game(or so I thought). I neednt tell you where asdv is today and how my smugness has turned to acute acid indigestion. So having revealed what a true wall street wizard I am, I dont mind claiming a profit in nn or cs or pair or any of my other holdings. I am currently well above water in everything I am holding now except 4k shares of little HIV that I am holding. I have other horror stories of lost opportunites that I could share, but if I revealed them the thread might vote me off of si as being to mentally handicapped to be a member.
