El: Of course you will admit you were wrong if your target turns out to be an underestimate?

With this movement do you think CPQ can now be classified as an "internut" moving at "internet speed" or even a "cool stock"?

My plan was to sell somewhere between $26 and $28 - depending on volume and momentum and known forthcoming events - and buy in again when it retreats perhaps to as low as $23. The momentum is strong, I suspect that MC is going to aim for a one big announcement a week and if it is on Monday that does not leave much time to get back in. But then there is options tomorrow. Decisions, decisions!.

I can see how the iPaq news and other technology news had to come before the Cable and Wireless news. I think there is a PR plan - and that's a compliment.

I don't think MC is thoroughly convincing but I am happy that others do and I hope he continues to make believers out of everybody. But as far as this quarter goes - we have had no news that diminishes the caution about earnings and YK2 - unless you interpret earnings and forecasts from HWP and DELL as doing that. (But if CPQ had been doing as well as HWP and DELL these last twelve months we would not be in this mess). Who would have thought that we would ever be thrilled at COMPAQ rising to $26!

Still, onward and upward.
