dr. putty:

Expect this kind of volatility. Use the price lows to "postion". Options expiration may have it effect, but I don't see how the parent options would effect what we are seeing. Believe that we are see some SNC share owners (institutions??) who are selling for tax loss reasons. SNC has hurt the shareholders with the price declines from the last year. Shareholders/institutuions may be seeing their "free" Circle.com shares to offset the losses in SNC. That may be why we are seeing MLCO and other MM's sitting on the price and using any strength to sell into ... for large shareholders/institutions. Once they are out, the stock CIRC stock will be in new hands of believers. Be patient and buy wisely on weakness. Don't chase rallies since the MM's are selling into them.
