I'd say its a "hold". They have some interesting products (e.g.
ServerNet), and some interesting alliances (Compaq, Microsoft, possibly
NEC), but I'm not convinced that the management in place below Ruhl
(new CEO) can make things happen. Too many old farts with waiting
for retirement. The place is still a bureaucratic mess, with no-one
willing to make decisions without "studying the matter" for a few
weeks (no different from when I was an employee a few years ago). The
NEC deal was on the rocks for this reason; it may still be rescued,
but I wouldn't hold my breath.

But ServerNet technology is really good, and it could take the market
by storm. One waits with bated breath. Maybe Microsoft or Compaq
will buy them out... Perhaps all the stock I accumulated from the
ESPP will be worth something again...
