I wonder if they etched the Si from the backside? I also wonder what the quartz lattice looks like or do they grow it thin enough to match the underlying Si lattice? Well, anyway, it sounds like they don't do that any more. Maybe they license Smart Cut? OT - the Qx3 is AWESOME. I can't believe they can sell those microscopes for under $100. I wonder if my kids will like it? <g> JF
