Henry, You might remember that I first started posting here when my brother wrote up Zi in his newsletter. At that time the symbol was still MCUAF, and the company was trying to sell the callback operation. Even back then, the company recognized that its future lay in its phone input system of Chinese characters. We've watched as they've made baby steps in this area. And, as there have been so many disappointments along the way.

One rather ridiculous cheerfulness occurred when Lobsinger was at dinner with the Chinese delegation on its visit to Canada this summer. However, these baby steps appear to have been a prelude to the steady stream of announcements that have occurred in the last quarter or so. So, that cheerfulness over the dinner wasn't so ridiculous, in hindsight.

Perhaps one thing the naysayers do not appreciate is the amount of groundwork that must be done to work successfully in China. (I think Zi management didn't realize how long it might take either). Zi has been through the downside of that long development period. The upside is coming--it's also hard to get dislodged once you are in place.

Best,
JS
