GRC,
The browsers we use are not secure unless we enter into the secure environment deliberately. You can turn off that unsecure warning and not have to look at it anymore. It doesn't mean anything to us anyhow. The only time security is in place is when you go to a secure environment and the key is unbroken. Then both ends are secure. Example, when I link up with my Schwabb account the security kicks in and we are secure at both ends.
If the transaction has to be secure to infringe on the patent then I think all sales on the net will infringe because they are all secure (at both ends) when the credit card # is transferred. Even products that are shipped by other means because the sale took place on the net and was secure. Does delivery of the product have to be through the internet only? If the product was delivered by other means is that a partial infringement? Bob
