Re CREE:

I take note of how many times certain stocks are mentioned here, who mentions them, and what is said about them. The first time around I ignore them, the second time I take a good look, and the third time (or the time some thread elders start chiming in) I swallow hard and seriously consider starting a position.

This has led me to supplement my core holdings of QCOM, GMST, and JDSU (in that order, with Q easily dominant) with SEBL (which actually just graduated to the core) and smaller positions in CTXS, CREE, and ITWO. (I also retain a position from the IPO in little baby shiny pebble ITXC, my friend's company.)

CTXS is nearing the core holding status the more I learn about it, although not in as large a quantity as the others. CREE and ITWO are being held lightly and in small amounts while I continue to monitor and research them. Neither is anywhere near a gorilla at this point, IMHO; I view them sort of the same way I would buying a lottery ticket with some extra cash. If I ever feel comfortable with options I might conceivably slake my occasional thirst for adventure with those instead.

PS just saw this post on the other thread; looks like great minds think alike... :0)
