as a rule, you should buy spoos when bonds are down because they might reverse....and when bonds tick up, even if it's just 1 or 2 1/32's, spoos have to be bought anyway. so you see, there's really no reason to do any selling....
as someone else has suggested, if due to Y2K glitches a handful of Russian intercontinental missiles hit U.S. cities, we can fully expect a huge rally to ensue on the grounds of the damage being "less than expected" and the "huge rebuilding profits" in store for corporate America.
i'm just waiting for easy Al to step down (Dow -50 points for about 2 minutes) and McDonough or McTeer taking his place...then we can grow the money tree to Pluto.
