very misleading and you can bank on the specialist profiting form this Tim, how can the specialist profit, since he generally doesn't lay out his own capital like market maker. Only to facilitate odd lots, and help create an orderly open, will the specialist lay out capital or short stock. The open was a little volatile but not too bad. Given the "takeover fever" that's present, a 1.5 dollar rise from yesterday is pretty meager. I do agree with you that $30 would be a more than fair price right now. My guess is a bit less than this, if the buyout happens this quarter, which I think it will. Gary
