re: point 1 you are correct....and to add to that he makes further delineations if it is company stock and you are matched.....

re: point 2 i follow a value oriented approach to my investing....and it has served me quite well.....as buffett has said why would you buy 20 businesses in each industry when you should know the handful of great ones via research regardless of industry.....why not buy those few gems?.....if you were buying businesses would you buy the best few or one? or would you go buy 20 to diversify......as a result i rarely will have more than 4 to 6 holdings.....after intensive research.....this is controversial and many dont agree with this....
