Andy and All: Inventory problems

Yesterday, I reported that everyone should read Danny's post regarding a possible "low demand or inventory" issue. However I talked to my source and (s)he has cleared up the following.

1. CUBE has its customers off allocation and are looking for new customers because they themselves are off allocation from their foundry and have more chips to sell. There is not an inventory problem and demand is growing.

2. If CUBE doesn't meet numbers, it's not because of inventory or demand problems, but because of pricing pressures. Demand may not be growing as fast as the prices are dropping.

3. The main chip is still the 480. Customers have not really switched to the 484 in large quantities.

Disclaimer: Although this post is rather positive, there are some negatives which are not disclosed here. Again, I do not have a position in CUBE, neither long or short.
