PoetTrader,
I tried ESignal and DTN for data.
First, I tried DTN RealTime. Poor user interface, but the killer was very poor data. They normally didn't clean up bad ticks and incorrect data; they just shoved it to you (literally and figuratively). Then i tried ESignal...
ESignal's User Interface was very poor - antiquated. Also, the data wasn't clean; they didn't clean up bad-ticks. Finally, when I talked to them about a problem, they didn't seem too excited about helping me.
QCharts had a much better user interface, they were much more aggressive about upgrading their software and their data was much cleaner. Another major factor was the QCharts used about 1/4 as much system and network bandwidth as the others.
I use CyberCorp's CyberX for Order Entry. Good product. It's a native Windows app and it's user interface is a little colorful, but very usable. Very good executions and outstanding cancellations.
Regarding Tradescape, I tried their demo. Good news is that cost is relatively low. Bad news is that it's a java-based, browser app. I'd be concerned about speed. Charting is VERY basic, almost non-existant. Level II looks OK, but seems quite limited in format. Obviously, I can't comment on execution and cancellation speed.
Except for cost, Tradescape doesn't hold a candle to the QCharts/CyberX combination.
