KG,

There seems to be more talk of a deal with ATHM on the AOL thread than on the ATHM thread.

> There has been rumor of a 1 for 1 swap after AOL's split. AOL between 150-160 and athm between 50-60 equates to aol at 75-80 after the split, a nice premium for athm, and certainly not too extreme for aol shareholders, most of which want a deal to happen.

I'm guessing that the smart AOL shareholders would love to see some sort of arrangement with ATHM. Maybe they think this dog is gonna be nipping at their heels sometime in the not too distant future? Maybe they don't want the threat of serious competition from any quarter. ATHM is a flea. AOL is the gorilla that would take over the world. Why so much talk over there of a deal with ATHM?
