Tech Headlines Friday November 19 4:35 PM ET Judge Appoints Mediator in Microsoft Case WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The judge in the Microsoft antitrust case Friday referred it for ''voluntary mediation'' to Judge Richard Posner, who heads the United States Court of Appeals in Chicago. U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson, who recently found that Microsoft Corp (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) used monopoly power to harm consumers, competitors and customer companies, said that Posner had agreed to mediate the case ''acting in a private capacity.'' As a result, MSFT trades up $2 afterhours, after it inched to 86 during session. Sun soft. Eddie down $2 again.
