Judge Appoints Mediator in Microsoft Case
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The judge in the Microsoft antitrust case Friday referred it for ``voluntary mediation' to Judge Richard Posner, who heads the United States Court of Appeals in Chicago.

U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson, who recently found that Microsoft Corp (NasdaqNM:MSFT - news) used monopoly power to harm consumers, competitors and customer companies, said that Posner had agreed to mediate the case ``acting in a private capacity.'
