Disagree with Y2K effect on oil.

I've been researching this a bit and talking to some
people in the industry (people who deal directly with OPEC
nations) and what I hear is that there probably will be
a few glitches but by and large there should be no problem.
If necessary all critical operations can be run manually.

At worst a temporary spike in crude prices but that will
be due to market interpretation of events not actual production disruptions.

It must be said though that most state that 30/barrel is
a real possibility.
