I opened an account with MyTrack last week because of
all the great things that people have been telling me.
Right from the start I knew there would be problems since I downloaded it at home and where am I during the day? Work.
I don't trade nearly as often as you guys so I figured that it would be no problem. I would use the phone.
Yesterday I put in a limit order over the phone and it was never filled. By the time I got home I knew it never would be, so I cancelled it online. Immediately it showed on my screen that the cancellation had been received by MyTrack, but my "buying power" was still reduced by the amount of the trade that never went through.
Today I tried to place another order and it was denied because I didn't have enough buying power.
I tried calling them all day and got disconnected three times and was on hold forever.
I just now finally got through to someone and he said that since the original order was placed by phone, the cancellation had to be requested by phone also. Even though the screen said that they received it, they really hadn't. Is this true????
I asked him to cancel the order now and he said that he couldn't. I would have to call back on Monday morning.
Since I don't know exactly how they operate, I have to assume that what he said is correct.
I still have my account with DLJ Direct and at this point I think I'd be better off just using that one. I've had very few problems with them in the past.
Any suggestions from the "experts" out there?
TIA.
Susie
