I spoke with a lady in what I believe constitutes the co.'s investor relations office, inquiring as to the decrease in the stock price in recent weeks. She told me that the company has not sent out press releases that would be a cause for a price decrease, nor was she aware of any negative stories published about the co.
I also asked about various earnings estimates I've heard and read, and the only forecast she would be pigeonholed into was a report written by an analyst who follows the stock. I guess the analyst said something to the effect that 15% annual growth in both sales and earnings for the foreseeable future was in the cards. VTC's spokesperson would only say that the company is "well on target" to meet that analyst's estimate, and "would have no problem" in doing so.
In this day and age of co.'s being cautious in what they predict to investors for fear of lawsuits, I would think that what she had to say was as assuring as one could expect.
I'm keeping an eye out for further buying opportunities, and definitely will be pouncing on more shares if they drift down to 1 7/8 or below again.
