My thanks to ztect and Sam for their comments regarding my latest revenue projection. I strongly disagree with Sam that a more appropriate participation rate is 5%. I cannot imagine a principal messing with a project that brought that low a participation rate. One good question is what is a typical participation rate in a general fundraiser in a high school and in a middle school.......I agree with ztect that several organizations in a school may use the card fundraiser at the same time. One assistant principal I talked to said his school never did a school-wide project, but there were 30+ organizations within the school with various projects ongoing. One approach may be to ask some middle and high school principals if they know their participation rates. My assumption is that the schools choosing to participate are in at least middle class to affluent areas i.e. high computer use........One advantage the MusicCard has over certain other items is that it is highly transportable. A kid could sell his cousins in another state a card.......I'm willing to talk to principals about their fundraising results, but don't make me go into WalMart and check the price of CD's. Anybody want to help here?
