[TI's DSP success - Good News] Peter, Sorry for the delay, you wrote <<But if I can extrapolate from the news release, it would "appear" that DSP is good and thus the same for Amati. Would you agree? >> It ain't bad! It's hard to say how good it is, though. The increase in sales were not for the 'C6x chip, unless they were advance orders. But TI's outlook for 'C6x is very good. ti.com That this chip is basically available is good news. To the extent this chip is used for ADSL/DMT, Amati will receive royalties (but there are other uses for the chip). I can't remember Amati's stated position, but I don't believe they plan to use the chip themselves. Perhaps someone else could help me out here.
