Dear Flop,

Good for you---SYNM signed an agreement to build a plant in Trinidad or Venzuela--yet to be determined. I STILL think the better play on this technology is SASOL (NYSE:SASOY) because you get the technology plus a fully functioning oil and chemical company to boot. Of course you have to have the stomach for what might happen in South Africa.

Sasol is currently building a plant for natural gas to liquid conversion (turns natural gas into clean buring diesal---GTL) with Cheveron in Nigeria and has ongoing discussions for a plant in Quatar with PHillips (they are reworking the engineering)--which will be huge if they build it (Quatar has enough NG to power every home in the US for 30 years---the low price of oil last year delayed things as the conversion only becomes profitable if oil stays above $20 a barrel). Remember SASOL has been converting coal to auto fuel on a commercial scale for years and the GTL technology builds on that.

Why wouldn't you want to at least split your bet here? Synm only has its technology--SASOL has that plus all its other assets and is making money right now.

Regards,

Bill
