Steven...interesting story about UPS. However....

Close reading leads my feeble brain humbly to the conclusion that this might be much ado about nothing. Hard to believe Morgan Stanley/Goldman Sachs/Merrill Lynch handled this IPO without knowing the full history, which actually is old news anyway. (Meaning the tax problems)

Also, class action lawsuits are being contemplated and filed everywhere by hungry lawyers. I've been "invited" into these suits twice in the past several months----against Bell Atlantic and those annoying sweepstakes marketers. Was also "invited" into a class action suit against my mortgage company.

Who wants to fool with these things----the actual money that lands in your pocket if the suit is settled in favor of the "class" might be pennies.

The Washington Post this week ran a story about how lawyers are salivating over the possibility of class-action lawsuits against Microsoft, but they acknowledge they don't even have any real plaintiffs yet.

Time will tell....I'm not long this stock, but do want to own some as soon as it settles down. Am getting a few of the original IPO shares from my father, who was able to procure them as a client of Morgan Stanley. Would like to own more, however.

The growth prospects for UPS are huge. We should wait to see how this story pans out.
