Noticed an error in my earlier post.
not a need for control should read not a need for an elaborate control VLNC Mn battery needs a control circuit but it need not be elaborate (and expensive). Simpler control circuits and safer batteries would mean higher margins. Lev described how steep the voltage curve becomes, after 4.5volts, during the recharge cycle and how the control circuits are designed to detect and control. Since it is difficult to control, Li-Co battery is not charged to their full capacity for safety reasons, acc to Lev. The point was: elaborate controls make Li-Co battery more expensive, less competitive. Recall a question about SEC filings vs. Conf. calls. Lev's response: both are true statements of the company status. Ram
