from the motley fool posts on buffett and berkshire :

I noticed on a number of boards people have posted their opinion that my partner, Mr. Warren Buffett, is "senile" because he didn't purchase technology stocks.

I've always believed that honest and sincere criticism constitutes the very essence of our democratic way of life. I would just like to make one request - when you make the statement that you believe my partner is senile, please be kind enough to list some of your accomplishments so I can better judge your capacity to evaluate Warren Buffett.

and :

hey snotty..i see you like horseracing, and to my way of thinking... it's not much different than the stock market.
ever notice it's the googly-eyed GAMBLERS that drop their wads on the one's with the fancy new names without checking out the trainer, or the jockey, or the stats? well...now sure...a few of those gamblers..on any given day...they WILL get lucky...just wait a awhile though..because since they bet without knowledge, and that is their pattern...somewhere down the line they are gonna loose it all. then...of course..there is always that quiet guy...the one who never runs his mouth off...the one just watching the crowd, and enjoying the day...THAT guy...the one who barely even looks at the racing form?...he doesnt need too...he already did his homework, and has made up his mind...you never see him betting on every race.....he doesn't laugh when others around him loose....and you never know when he has won....his face is always the calm one in that sea of insanity. you don't see him running back at the end of every race to collect his winnings either. he never dresses flashy, usually looks like someone's grandpa, and i am sure the people around him think he is some old fart going senile, just putzing around at the track cuz he's got nothing better to do. ya ever notice though...at the END of the day...(usually afer most everyone has left)he's quietly collecting his winnings, and chatting it up with the tellers who all seem to know him pretty well..............
