You seem more tuned in to this stock than most here. I have just found it and it looks interesting. If I'm doing my arithmetic correctly, the monitors cost 3X the current ones initially, and the sensors about twice as much as the current strips on a daily use basis(strips used four times at $0.25 - $0.50 for $1 - $2 per day versus the $4 sensors).
Thus the devices are considerably more expensive. I would do it, anyway, because I hate needle penetrations, but less fortunate folks might have to look at the cost factor.
Which leads to the question: Will the HCFA cover these devices at considerably higher cost for some improvement in monitoring and less pain? If so, that would be almost as big an event as approval itself. Do you know if the company plans to pursue this (obviously that's putting the cart before the horse, as approval from FDA must come first, but it would be good to know if management is thinking about it)?
