Absolutely not. This defeats their purpose and, allows for introduction of viruses, facilitates removing confidential corporate data, and so on. To quote IBM's senior NC architect, "The day they ask me to add local magnetic storage, is the day I will quit!"

IBM's NC has a PCMCIA slot, and will eventually come out with support for flash memory, which will allow for short-term caching of JAVA programs, and boot software only.
