So, you add gratuitous insults to your well-named "Whipsaw" litigation, and apparently expect to rob Dr. Malcolm of the credit he deserves for founding not one, but two great companies.

I haven't heard of you, Mr. Sheridan, but I have heard of Dr. Malcolm. And as a previous poster stated, Dr. Malcolm (please give him the title he deserves) is a well-respected computer scientist (Ph.D. from Stanford), a former university professor, holder of many patents, and is widely recognized for achievements in his field.

What have you done? Other than to try to take credit for his work, that is? Has it perhaps occurred to you that the millions NetApp gave you and your friends were not in recognition of your claim, but simply to get you off their back as they tended to the more important matter of growing a great company from a great idea (Malcolm's, not yours)?

The legal system is indeed flawed, as you point out. But the flaw is that it allows anyone to make any claim, even a spurious one, and then to use a nuisance settlement as supposed proof of their claim. I don't know what the terms of your settlement were, but your posting may have violated those terms.

The value of Dr. Malcolm's contributions exceeds by several orders of magnitude the money taken by you. If you don't believe that, look at the combined market caps of NTAP and CFLO.

I suggest that Dr. Malcolm is not going to miss being invited into your home. He would be welcome in mine, by the way, any time, any day.

In my opinion, Dr. Malcolm deserves credit for his creations, and you do not. Crawl back under your rock and stop defaming a great man.
