Hi BGL,

Williams Communication Group is not a CLEC. The term stands for "Competative Local Exchange Carrier". These companies are formed to compete with the local telephone companies. They offer dial-tone. They are supposed to offer services to individual customers, but tend to only focus on the more lucrative business market. Another instance where the FCC hasn't helped the individual user of communications services.

WCG is a "Carriers' Carrier". That is... they offer dark-fiber and inner-duct. WCG also has a business that offers communications services (lit-fiber) to large customers, and CLECs. The large customers can be major companies, or Internet Service Providers (ISP). These services help to connect major communications centers for WCG's customers.

Doubt that we will see WCG stock perform like the ".com"s. I believe that this is a long term hold. It will have good steady growth. I think that the price is low because some people are taking profits, and also positioning for tax purposes.

Regards,

Shel10
