Right On, Puna, Let the TECHRIDE Begin!
Okay, I'll start with a true life story -
Where I work, we have an Investment Department. Consequently, all the big brokerage houses send representatives from New York down to visit our Investment guys and beg for money. My assigned parking space is near the door. Many times I have to walk AROUND stretch limos to get in the door to my building. These big brokerage houses rent the limos at the airport to bring them to our building. I guess it makes them feel important.
Anyway, before these brokers can get to our Investment Department they must get through Security. Our Security staff guys are not known for their cosmopolitan ways and have seen an awful lot of stretch limos during their tenure with the company. [Frankly, the employees at my company have commented about single digit IQ's and "glad they aren't armed" when referring to our Security Staff.]
Okay, so on this particular morning, as I cruised through the Security section to the elevator, I observed this very well dressed, stern looking lady and three gentlemen (we call them "suits") standing at the Security window. The lady seemed to be the top dog of the group. She was leaning in the window looking down her nose at the Security guy and asked very loudly, "Young man, have you ever heard of GOLDMAN SACHS?" Our Security guy drawled, "No ma'am, I caint say as I have."
I chuckled as I got on the elevator. The limo was gone when I got off work, so I guess they eventually got to go upstairs before they high tailed it back to New York.
