Stocks don't care who owns them, besides people buy Microsoft products because they help them solve problems, not because insiders own them.
There are only two big insiders, Bill Gates and Paul Allen, the rest own fractions of the company. Both Bill and Paul are very diversified owning or part owner in atleast 25 other businesses each.

I agree share price can be negatively affected when an insider sells but what does Bill need that costs 15 Billion? Either way the share price of Microsoft is driven by the companies performance not who owns the shares.

I highly doubt anyone would take an insider sale of Microsoft shares as a sell signal, it would most likely be a means to generate cash for a new venture or to pay for Bill's new house.
