Bill,

<<As far as the Palm IPO is concerned, I'm not that upset that the distribution takes place 6 months after the IPO.>>

The 6 months is actually a plus, as this will mitigate the incentive to short COMS into the PALM IPO. Maybe. I have to think about this. Otherwise, the play would be to go long COMS into teh IPO, and sell into the IPO would the hopes of buying it back cheaper in a few days after the IPO.

Does anybody know the terms of the PALM shares spin-off to COMS holders. If I'm a COMS holder now, and the IPO is tomorrow (for this illustration), would I have to hold COMS for another 6 months before I'm eligible to receive any PALM shares. Or can I be on records as of the IPO date, and can sell my COMS thereafter and still be eligible to receive PALMS shares 6 months later.

Chester
