On Friday, June 7, Docucon announced a $600,000 contract from Lucent Technologies,
recently spun off from AT & T. Obviously, this is just a drop in the bucket compared to their recent big $14,000,000 award from the Defense Dept., which I'm not sure was publicized in a press release, as was the Lucent job. Also, there is probably a perception that the Lucent award might lead to bigger and more lucrative business with them in the future. Anyway, it certainly adds to their credibility.
The document imaging business has been consolidating recently and given its great prospects, I wouldn't be surprised if Docucon got a takeover bid from a competitor sometime in the near future. So there might be a bit of takeover speculation in here as well. |
