>1) QC is displaying what they are getting (e.g., e-mini all night).
But are they? If they show trades in the L2 AND THE T&S, are they not getting the data? Then why is this data NOT FED into the quote page?
2) QC has no control over when S&P Comstock initiates or activates data.
If this is true, how do other programs manage to do it?
3) You indicated you were looking for charting and the most liquid premarket is ISLD. Because of it's liquidity it should be fairly representative of the whole market. If it is representative, then the ISLD chart should be valid. If you are looking for actual pricing data, the T&S data is all inclusive (or so you said).
No, not looking for charting - nice to have but not needed. Looking for QUOTE PAGE INPUT so I can, at a glance, see what is going on PRE-MARKET in my full list of stocks. Also, would like ACTIVE hot list pre-market.
4) If you are basing trades on chart patterns, the ISLD chart should do it for you. Nothing is complete in premarket until there is some standardization in this industry regarding the reporting.
Agree ISLD is most of it but since the data is available, why can we not have all of it?
I am not asking for new ground to be plowed here - I used Investor R/T with a Mytrack feed before coming to QC. I left because of the serious data feed problems from Mytrack to IR/T - since Mytrack and AIQ, their charting program, is owned by the same people, Mytrack would do nothing to help Bill Linn of IR/T solve the feed problems. I was hoping QC would give me what I was looking for.
HOWEVER, IR/T allowed ME to select when I wanted the data feed to start and end AND when I brought it up at 9:00 in the morning I had ALL of my quote page data live and indicating - picking up all the trades from when the program had stopped the day before.
As has been mentioned here, one can pull up the L2 and T&S on a stock in QC and thereby see what the gap is. However, this MUST be done on an individual stock basis AND you must continue to watch this one stock until open as each tick will change the data. YOU CAN'T DO THIS WITH A WHOLE LIST OF STOCKS, PERIOD.
I have been told that many serious daytraders spend 90%+ of their time watching their quote page - many do not even use charts at all, just the quote page, T&S and L2.
It is the quote page data that I am talking about here. It is available - WHY can we not have it? Simple question - but no answer for over 3 months now.
