GIFT's patent also speaks of a method of payment. I would disagree that freebies are covered. Further, GIFT is practical and does not want to impede commerce, just gets its royalty from it. MSFT is definitely "on Notice". I have a "hunch" that GIFT has approached MSFT at some pt about license negotiations. They have not agreed to it. Mel
