I just re-read the NY Times article about Dave the day-trader. A few things struck; the writer was derogatory whenever possible, but that's how writer's oft-times get printed. Dave was an amateur trader, though perhaps representative of many day-traders.

But what struck me most was the experience and tactics of Dave compared with Jenna, Market Gems, and many 'Gemmers. It was like watching a Class-D minor league pitcher and then a seasoned professional major leaguer.

The writer might have balanced his story with the experience of say, A Jenna, or Mr. Big, or Small Fry or Susan or Teri...hey, I gotta leave a bunch of you out. But I know you get the idea.

And, though I'm no fan of CNBC, the writer was unnecessarily nasty to them. (Lee)
