Paul, Thanks...Short against the box charges a loan rate on the shares sold and you give up the upside. The 30 day rule is called the wash sale rule...I sold CSCC and I'm going to buy back ASND sometime today..It was the WASH Sale I wanted to avoid..In this situation I think the risk reward for me was to take the loss and own ASND which will be the same company in the long run...Thanks again for your help...Scott
