Lee, the other comment which needs to be made about the NY times piece is that "dave" is missing one of the central props of effective trading, namely, COMMUNITY. He is all on his own, he tried what sounded like some goofy rooms on the net and then decided he was better off solo.

For myself, I love the MG thread, and real time interaction with other traders using ICQ, as well as other sources of interaction. It allows one to sift through other ideas and perspectives and therefore to learn and grow.

Just my two cents.
