Kai This deal will be decided by institutional investors. The impression I have is that Vod is pursuing this deal because they have reason to believe that they can obtain a majority holding in Mannesmann after talking with their top institutional investors many of whom are Mannesmann equity holders. I suspect they would not be going forward at this point if they had reason to believe they did not have a majority backing. They would not risk their time and money going after Mannesmann if they thought they would be defeated. Don't focus yourself on public opinion. The focus should be on who will tender their shares and who will not.
