Hi Melinda, I was thinking of you last night when I was drinking a bottle of Gallo Merlot, the 1997 Gallo of Sonoma label, which claims to have won "Best of Show" in some show or other. It was very, very good, and cost around $7. Did I already post this? I was going to suggest to Rambi that she try the chardonnay, that got a high rating by the Wine Spectator, but I haven't tried it. Chris tried a glass of the Merlot and said, "Well! They've come a long way!" I think it would be good with Thanksgiving dinner. Um, it probably wouldn't impress the guests that are impressed by wine labels, though.
