Spaw: OT_ Your age and/or lack of breadth of education is showing. M has always meant 1000 in financial terms that is why you will see $ columns in millions stated as mm ( 1,000 of 1000,s). M has been used as meaning 1000 ever since the Romans coined the quantity as mille and have used it in their numerology to mean 1000 ever since we have been using Roman Numerals. Take a look the next time you see a Roman Numeral on a building. But just in case you are still confused the number of shares was 8,000. JFD
