Its like a chess game where Ted is only a spectator, and long after
the game started Ted saw a pawn that had been removed from the board
and then proceeded to cry to this thread of its meaning for the future.

But observe that Ted has not created or moved the pawn, and Ted has no
knowledge of how it has been used, as in for what purpose.

Ted is like a o49r with 2 balls to play with, and after working up to
a high excitation'ium he/she will predict the past and tell all of the
wonderfull visions they made.
