When I was a young man and trained in common sense by a water boy, these truths became self evident.

When you allow a borg virus OS be in control of a computer, it has whatever protected secret security that was built by the legions of borg programmer who give you the blue screen of death. The borg OS viruses have access to all levels of the machine and all partitions of the hard disk or disks. The bios flash memory and every piece of hardware.

Now a with Linux the OS has the same access. But that access is restricted to the root dude. Normal users running whatever only have access that root dude allows. Now if one understand the clean interfaces in Linux and how that allows scaling the OS from cell phone to super computer, one can see the symetry create a wall of security that is obvious and good.

Does anyone have a clue as to the interfaces in borg virus api? Does each borg OS virus written by a different blue screen klunk team have different properties and handling of interfaces???

So if one drinks the the waters of knowledge, one does not infect a Linux machine with any borg viruses.

As to transmeta, they discovered that emulation costs 3db or so. I think they could have just talked to a water boy. Oh my ni quist sample the waters of information.
