Perhaps I misunderstood your postings because of rushing through too many posts. I had the sense that they were somehow part of the general "put women in their place" atmosphere that was pervading the thread.
If so, I apologize. I think I explained in my post to Coby, what I didn't like about the article--- that it equates this stuff with a failure of the feminist movement. I just disagree.
And I DO think men feel they have to be hot hot hot-- in different ways. Don't forget there are many who aren't buying into the extremes, but find themselves affected by these weird ideas. (Like Dan had a boss once- gone now- who was really skinny and ran- and he thought everyone should look just like him.)
